Eva Becerra started her translation career during 2004-05, going through a Spanish translation training program at Georgia State University, and obtaining its certificates for Spanish<>English translation. Since 2004, she has been able to steadily work in the freelance translation business. And in August 2016, she professionally embarked in a new career on two fields: interpretation in medical and education. Additionally, she successfully completed the Bridging The Gap training course for medical interpreters (Spanish), and holds the NBCMI (national certification) for Spanish Language.
Eva is currently a practicing freelance Spanish<>English translator, with almost 20-year experience, specialized in the education and public services sectors. For the past two years, she has worked as a Spanish<>English translator and Spanish proofreader. Conjunctively, she has been a practicing freelance medical interpreter since 2016, with a solid Spanish medical interpreting experience, both in person and remotely (OP/VC). And last, she has been involved with national, statewide, and local entities, as well as non-profit organizations, either as a regular volunteer or as a translator and/or interpreter. During 2008-14, Eva held various positions in the Board of Members of La Casa de España in Georgia, being awarded a certificate of recognition for her valuable and consistent contribution.
